Hon Hai Precision Industry Co (鴻海精密) will showcase its electric vehicles and automotive electronics devices at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, industry sources said yesterday.
The sources said Hon Hai will lead a delegation of representatives from Foxtron Vehicle Technologies Co (鴻華先進), the iPhone assembler’s electric vehicle joint venture with Yulon Motor Co (裕隆汽車), to showcase self-developed electric vehicles at CES, which opens on Jan. 7.
Hon Hai will also showcase automotive electronics products from its Hong Kong-listed wireless communications and consumer electronics subsidiary FIH Mobile Ltd (富智康), the sources said.

Although Hon Hai chairman Young Liu (劉揚偉) will be in the US to meet with the company’s major customers during the same time as CES, it is unclear if he will attend the trade show, the sources added.
Hon Hai has unveiled several electric vehicle models since 2021 as the company continues to diversify from contract manufacturing into hardware and software capabilities.
They include the Model D hybrid SUV, the Model U mid-sized bus, the Model C SUV, the Model E sedan, the Model T e-bus, the Model B urban car, the Model V pickup and the Model N cargo van.
